Look To This Day

Look to this day,

for it is life, the very life of life.

In its brief course

Lie all the verities and realities of your existence.

The bliss of growth,

The glory of action,

The splendour of achievement

Are but experiences of time.

For yesterday is but a dream,

and tomorrow is only a vision.

And today well lived, makes

Yesterday a dream of happiness,

and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Early Morning Encounters

The early morning light finds me wrapped in stillness.

A ray of golden light falls across my path,

I hear the rustling of the leaves playing in the wind,

the call of a bird greeting the day

and then…

the soft caress of the cool breeze.

The company of a sacred presence overwhelms my senses.

I long for these moments of mystical intimacy;

my soul embracing the deep intuitive knowing that I am not alone,

That All is Well!

Follow the Trail

A crystal is hidden in my castle

Fragments of light dance across the walls as the brilliant facets catch filtering rays of hope;

Chasing shadows, illuminating dark and dismal corners.

It would be easy to retreat into the darkness;

Focus on the Light, I remind myself,

Follow its trail to find the hidden jewel

For a single light drives out the deepest darkness .
